Stitch » Community Pioneer Program » Pioneer Mentoring » 7. Common Questions
This module covers common questions about the program. We’ll be adding to this list as the program develops, so if you’ve got questions for us, please let us know!
Do I need to have hosted in-person events to be a Mentor?
No, you only need to be willing to host virtual events for your Pioneer Group. Stitch will help you provide guidance to Pioneers.
Can I run more than one Pioneer Group?
Absolutely! But we’d suggest you start with one first and see how it goes.
I’ve been a member for several years. Can I apply to be a Pioneer?
Absolutely! In fact, many members aren’t ready to be a Pioneer when they first join, and only get inspired to do so after making friends with members in other locations who tell them what being part of a vibrant active local Stitch community is like.
Do I need any special skills or expertise?
You only need the ability to attend (if you’re a Pioneer) or host (if a Mentor) a virtual event so you can attend your monthly get-togethers, as well as decent communication skills and a big dose of enthusiasm!
Can I change the time of my Pioneer Group meetings?
In an ideal world, you’d stick to the same time slot for each of your 4 Pioneer Group meetings (e.g. 3rd Sunday of the month at 4pm), but unfortunately we don’t live in an ideal world!
Occasionally something will come up that will mean you can’t attend at the usual time and you need to reschedule. That’s completely OK.
You just need to communicate with the Pioneers in your group to let them know, and to find a time that works for the group.
Congratulations, you’ve made it to the end of Module 7! You’re ready to move on to the very last module in the program now. Let’s get started!
